Great rehearsals last night! It was a joy to have our new worship catalyst for the Georgia Baptist Mission Board, Rhon Carter, here with us for our rehearsals.
Be sure to check out the schedule as we have a lot of changes in the next several weeks. I’ll do my best to remind you of the changes as they occur, but if you’ll all make note of the dates, that will help reduce confusion.
Here are a few important things this week:
- Our CHOIR FALL RETREAT will be Saturday, September 11th. Save the date. The time frames will likely be 9-3 or 4 and we’ll do a boxed lunch with a suggested donation (like we have done in the past).
- SUMMER NIGHT OF WORSHIP (AUGUST 15th) . The purpose of this event will be for our choir and orchestra to get to play/sing and we’ll also incorporate some group, solo, family acts (or whatever) for a fun night of being together with our church family. Be on the lookout for a date soon.
- Christmas at Ivy Creek dates are set. Friday-Sunday Dec 3-5. Friday will be at 7 and Sat and Sun at 6:30. Those of you who do not have a choir outfit, we will be doing “fittings” toward the end of the summer so you’ll have what you need.
- Children’s Choirs will resume in August. The Awana/Choir Kick-off is August 11 and first night of choir will be the 18th. At this point, I could use some extra folks for our pre-school or elementary groups. You don’t have to be a lead teacher to help. Drop me an email or call me and let me know of your interest so I may begin building (really re-building) our teams after such a long hiatus. If you have worked with one of our groups up until last March and wish to continue helping, I’d also like to hear from you.
Choir call time is 9:10 this week! Orchestra meets at 8:30 for warm-up.

July 14, 21, and 28th- Orchestra from 5:45-6:45; Choir from 6:45-8

June 20th- NO CHOIR IN LOFT (Small Group instead)
