Thursday’s Thoughts from Will-April 30, 2020

Good morning! Another great Zoom meeting last night. I’m enjoying getting to know you all better through this time of fellowship, encouragement, and prayer. As you heard in Pastor Craig’s letter last week, we are aiming to begin in-person worship services on Sunday May 17th. We are in the process now of making sure we are ready to keep you healthy and safe and we’ll be sharing details in greater detail in the coming week or so.

I know many of you have wondered when our choir and orchestra will resume rehearsals and singing/playing in church. Right now I am discussing the plans (consulting other churches as well)  for our return and will let you know when we make decisions. I assure you, my plan is to consider the safest way possible for each of us to participate. I want you to know that some of you will probably decide to wait quite a long time before returning and that’s okay. You need to make sure you feel safe. I will be in touch as soon as I have things to report. Right now, we’ve added back in some players and a praise team to lead for the next several weeks. We’ll continue to discuss the adding of other players after that. The choir will be the last piece of the puzzle and it will most likely be limited in number so we may spread out. Depending on those who wish to sing, we may have to have sign ups for participants to sing certain Sundays and do some sort of rotation. Who knows exactly how long the limitations will last, but I assure you we will not be taking risks in our decisions. At this point, no plans or dates regarding our music teams are set in stone so I will wait to make any announcements regarding our plans until we’re ready to move forward; I certainly don’t want to create confusion by dropping lots of hypotheticals in front of you.

Please know that I am praying for you all and looking forward to our return together. Prayer requests added since last night are in this link: Prayer Requests and Praises.
