Thursday’s Thoughts from Will 05.24.18

Great rehearsals last night. We are making great progress on our music for the summer. Thanks for always going the extra mile, especially when there are lots of breaks in the coming weeks. I appreciate you all.

Since not everyone was there, I wanted to tell everyone how awesome it was that Mark Thomas was back with us at choir last night. When we were singing “Say Amen,” it was Mark whose face was lit up in praise and thanksgiving more than usual. I couldn’t help but think how particularly meaningful singing phrases like, “is there anybody here who knows He’s faithful…seen his power” is for Mark right now. You all could testify, I’m sure, but it was a very special worship experience for me last night. Your “posture” I worship leadership (modeling) makes a difference!

This weekend the choir will sing “At Calvary” with just piano. I hope all of you who are in town will join us for both services. Orchestra and Praise Team will meet at 8:30 Sunday for warm-up.

Here’s the rest of the schedule for the next several weeks:

*Next Wednesday we will have regular rehearsals (the 30th).

*We will NOT meet in two Wednesdays, June 6 (the week of VBS)

*We will meet June 13th

*We will NOT meet June 20, 27 or July 4 or 11th (this is a four week break)

*We will resume regular rehearsals July 18th
