Thursdays Thoughts from Will 03.15.18

Excellent rehearsals last night. You all are working extra hard and it’s showing. The next several weeks will be an wonderful offering of worship to our Lord. Thankful for you all!

Since there are lots of things going on in the next few weeks, I hope you’ll make note of things that pertain to you.

Sunday, the choir is singing My Great God Cares for Me. We will use piano only for this anthem. Orchestra and Praise Team will rehearse and play at normal times.

Our Easter Night of Worship is in just 10 DAYS. Can you believe it? I’ll have final order to you as soon as possible (Monday is the goal). Click Spring Concert.Easter Program 18  for a draft  You should have received a choral music order though last night. Please go ahead and make sure your music is in order. Here is the schedule for that afternoon/evening:

ORCHESTRA WARM-UP AT 4 PM THAT AFTERNOON
CHOIR WARM-UP AT 4:30 PM
YOUTH CHOIR WARM-UP AT 5:45 PM
YOUNG MUSICIANS WARM-UP AT 6 PM
MUSIC MAKERS WARM-UP AT 6:10 PM

WHAT ARE WE WEARING? I’m going to make it as simple as possible, since previous discussion has left a few still questioning the plan:

  1. Solid color (pastel, Easter-y, springy colored) shirts/tops (even if there is a texture in the fabric itself, it should look solid from a distance.
  2. Pants or long skirts to match. Pants must be at least at calf length.
  3. Close toed shoes if at all possible. (not sandals, etc.)

Due to tight schedule for this event, we will not be providing a “snack break,” so have a snack before you arrive or make other arrangements.

Beyond the 25th, we will have regular rehearsals on Wednesday the 28th to run through music for Easter and beyond since we DON’T HAVE REHEARSALS ON APRIL 4TH DUE TO SPRING BREAK

As always, check out the order of worship 03.18.18, and Devotion https://wp.me/P9C2wg-1E, and Prayer Requests https://wp.me/P9C2wg-1S

  1. Hey, Will! Are we able to wear long dresses or only tops with pants/skirts? Trying to figure out what to wear with my expanding belly that gives me plenty of room to breathe! Thanks for the help 🙂

    1. Dresses are fine- I’m assuming the dress is all one color or one color on top and different on bottom? I think it’ll be fine! You do what you need to do to be comfortable. You and Graham get a pass this time 🙂

      1. The goal is to find something solid on top then another solid on the bottom that way I match with the rest of the choir as best as possible! Definitely solid though, don’t worry 🙂 Thank you!!
